I first learned about the hidden object game Shadow Wolf Mysteries: Curse of the Full Moon collector’s edition while I was downloading a free preview version of a different game. One of the things I like about the BFG game manager is it will suggest games for you to play. Shadow Wolf Mysteries sounded interesting enough, so I went ahead and played it.

Storyline for Shadow Wolf Mysteries: Curse of the Full Moon

Like so many other hidden object games, you play a detective called to a small town where there have been a series of murders. In this case, panic has set in amongst the residents because they think a werewolf is committing the murders. After spending the entire month of October watching zombie movies, this storyline was actually a refreshing change for me.

Allora and the Broken Portal is a hidden object game (HOG) with a fantasy theme. This casual game was developed by AZ-Art Development Studios for Big Fish Games. I own a PC, so that’s the version I played. However, it is available for Macs as well.

Allora and the Broken Portal Storyline

You have been transported to Allora’s world to fix a broken portal. A wizard, who is a friend of hers, was studying the portal and managed to get himself sucked into your world with no way to get back. Unfortunately for Allora and friends, only a human is able to solve the puzzles and collect the gems needed to get the portal up and running again.

In all honesty, I’m not sure why I chose to play Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches. While going through my bookmarks one day, I noticed I had saved a link to it. Currently, I download most of the casual games I play from Big Fish Games. Unfortunately, they do not have a wish list feature. So when I see a game I think would be interesting to play, I bookmark it. However, I couldn’t remember why I saved this one. Despite that, I decided to play it anyway. It was only $6.99, and I figured there were worse things I could waste money on.
